GRANDFAMILIES PROGRAM

In today' society, many children are being raised by their grandparents due to various circumstances.  These children often face unique challenges that can impact their academic performance and overall well-being.  Raising grandchildren can be a rewarding experience for grandparents, but it also comes with its share of challenges.

Grandparents challenges are significant as well. The face emotional strain of grandchildren living under their roof, unexpected financial pressures and the toll of their own health concerns.  And still they remain a pillar of stability, providing a supportive and loving home for their family in trying times.

The Satchel Paige Foundation Grandfamilies Program will provide comprehensive support and resources to grandparents and their grandchildren by ensuring that both generations receive the emotional, social and educational assistance they need to flourish.  SPF will provide the academic support and skill development through our tutoring program tailored to each child's unique needs and learning style.  For our grandparents will offer workshops and resources including tips on effective communication, homework help strategies and navigating the school system.
